The Soberanes Fire challenge coin is 1-3/4″ in diameter and nickel plated with hard enamel. The front of the coin shows the final perimeter of the fire which grew to 132,127 acres. The back of the coin shows the iconic Bixby Bridge in Big Sur, CA. The edge is stamped “Bulldozer Operator Robert Reagan” who died when his dozer rolled over while working on the fire.

Yes The Soberanes Fire started July 22, 2016 in Garrapata Stae Park. The fire grew to 132,127 acres, destroyed 57 homes and on July 26 killed Dozer Operator Robert Reagan while he was working the fire in Palo Colorado Canyon. The fire was first managed by CAL FIRE IMT 4. Then by the following.
